Recently 73,00 Con Edison customers loss power in Manhattan.

Con Edison and New York City Emergency Management has some advise if you are affected by an outage.

- Report any loss of power to www.coned.com/ReportOutage or call 1 - 800 - 752 - 6633.

- If you have a speech or hearing disability, report outages to 1 - 800 - 642 - 2308.

- Never go near or touch a fallen power line.

If you see a downed wire, call 1 - 800 - 752 - 6633 immediately.

- Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed to prevent food spoilage.

- If you are having a life-threatening medical emergency and need immediate assistance, dial 911.

- Do not use generators indoors.
